Code of Conduct

The following principles are important values that you agree to abide by as a member of Women of Color in Tech. If you break the code of conduct, you will be removed from the community.


This community is for any person who identifies as a woman of color working in the tech industry. We value all experiences and self-identification; there will be no tolerance of policing who is a woman, of color, or in the tech industry.


Conversations in this community are confidential. Please do not share anything from this community in a public forum, including personal identifying information, without explicit consent.

Our values are to support and respect one another, and to build community. We commit to ensuring this community is inclusive regardless of gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or nationality.

Any of the following behaviors will not be tolerated and will be grounds for immediate removal from the community:
  • The use of sexualized language or imagery
  • Personal attacks
  • Trolling or insulting/derogatory comments
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing other’s private information, such as physical or electronic addresses, without explicit permission
  • Other unethical or unprofessional conduct
